Participant Comments at the End of the Program

We asked our participants to share their thoughts about our program at the end. Throughout all the periods where we maintained a 90% attendance average, it showed us that the program served its purpose, and the sincere expressions of satisfaction from our participants also made us very happy.
I would like to thank each of our colleagues from all periods who expressed their opinions about our program in video or written form for their sincere thoughts.
Opinions of Our 1st Period Graduates
Ahsen Havva Bayram – Hacettepe University – I was very excited before meeting you, yes, but after the first day, my excitement increased every day. When this process intervened, I was a bit sad thinking that this program would be disrupted. However, I hadn't taken into account Mr. Hakan's determination? The biggest contribution to my ability to manage this process is yours. Every day I filled up more with what I learned from you, and I even shared some of it with my family at home. You always guided us towards determination, success, correctness, and quality. You led us on this path and illuminated our way. We are still at the beginning of the road, yes, but thanks to you, I learned how the road will be and how I should behave. Now that I am a member of the Artemis Arıtım family, I would like to state that I will walk this path with that responsibility. It was a wonderful program for me. I got very used to everyone and everything. Just as there is an end to every beautiful thing, unfortunately, this program also had an end. But what makes this valuable and leaves a taste in our mouths is this happy ending. Mr. Hakan, you supported us in every matter, guided us. You did not count hours or days and put in a lot of effort for us. T&uuI will act with the responsibility of these efforts from now on. First of all, I would like to thank Ms. Emel, Mr. Ergin, and Mr. Salih, as well as Mr. Hakan and all my mentors. I am grateful to have met wonderful people like you, my friends!Aybüke Gümüş – Sakarya University – Mentor-A changed my perspective on life above all else. It was a balm for my concerns about my profession and work life. By setting new goals for myself, it supported me in walking this path more strongly and confidently. It allowed me to see different perspectives, thoughts, and criticisms, and to think and blend each of them within myself. It answered my questions about which direction I am more inclined towards and which department I should prefer, which was truly a topic I couldn't decide on. I would like to thank Hakan MADEN first for being a pioneer and for always being with us, and later all the trainers who were with us, and also thank Artemis Arıtıma for their support. I also thank you very much for seeing us as part of your family as the Artemis family. We are glad you exist, Artemis Family!Ayşe Tuğba Akta – Namık Kemal University – From the moment I learned about the program's scope, I had been eagerly waiting with great excitement. I realized that I would receive more than enough in return for my anticipation when our first training day took place face-to-face at Artemis Arıtım. The Mentor-A Environmental Engineer Development Program, which had to continue online due to the pandemic, proceeded in a full and efficient manner for 17 days. While my perspective on my profession changed, there were points where my prejudices were broken. In addition to the experiences and suggestions I gained from effective and competent environmental engineers in the field, I also had the opportunity to meet many valuable experts in personal development and career planning. I am very happy to participate in this program as a 4th-year student and to graduate because I believe I have been able to address some points that were lacking in my education before entering the workforce through this training program.I would like to emphasize that while advising my fellow colleagues not to miss future programs, this program is definitely a platform that must be participated in. I extend my endless thanks to the Artemis Purification family, which has created an exemplary formation for environmental engineers and the market based entirely on volunteerism.Batuhan Avşar – Atatürk University – I owe endless thanks to the Artemis family for bringing such a project to life. We will reap the fruits of the valuable investments that the Mentor-A program has brought us, both now and in the future. We owe a lot to our colleagues who, even before we entered our professional lives, shared their knowledge and experience with us firsthand. I feel very lucky to have been selected for this program. The knowledge that positively increases our perspective and awareness of the profession should serve as a reminder that sharing it will lead to a happy eternity. Of course, our memories created here also exist. Everything can be forgotten, but memories never…Berrak Bayat – Yıldız Technical University – You made us feel deep down that you would be by our side on both the first and last days of the program, providing all kinds of support in our studies and professional lives without expecting anything in return. Your attitude towards us, your way of speaking, your effort, and seeing us not as students but as individuals who have taken on their profession made me very happy. I am 22 years old, and for the first time, I felt grown-up thanks to you. If I were to speak for myself, you have added a lot to my life. You made me realize many things both professionally and personally, and you changed my perspective. I see this program as a ladder that brings goodness and innovation. On the first day of the program, we took a step onto the first rung of the ladder, and today we have reached the last rung together with our smiling faces. The architect of this 17-rung ladder, who has worked hard, approached us sincerely like older siblings, dedicated their time to us voluntarily, and shared their knowledge and experiences…I would like to thank everyone who shared. I'm glad to be a part of the Artemis Arıtım family, and I'm grateful that you chose me. My friends who will participate in the next program should know that they are very lucky and enjoy every moment. You will remain a very special and beautiful memory for me. I hope that good people like you always come your way.Berre Zeynep Tekin – Yıldız Technical University – Mentor-A was a very beautiful program that accompanied environmental engineering students under the guidance of Mr. Hakan Maden and the roof of Artemis Arıtım. I am leaving this process, which is full of great outputs, with great sadness but also with much happiness. In this beautiful project based on volunteerism, everything was carried out with sincerity, great efforts, and care, not just to be done, but to be beautiful and beneficial; I wholeheartedly believe that. I am proud to be one of the lucky first-stage students in this project. I believe this is not an end for Mentor-A, but rather a new beginning.Beyza Betül Bekereci – Bursa Uludağ University – Mentor-A was an incredibly valuable project for me, which I saw as an investment in my personal and professional development, and I felt very lucky to be a part of it. I followed each training day with excitement and eagerness. It is evident that there is undeniable effort in the project, and therefore, I owe endless thanks to everyone in the Artemis family, especially to Mr. Hakan Maden, who has been with us since the first day of the project, and my mentor, Ms. Merve Yıldırım, who illuminated my path with her guidance, as well as to our guests and trainers who were with us on our training days, and to my dear friends with whom I shared this project. I can proudly say that I am one of the first graduates; I am glad to have been a part of Mentor-A.maybe it was to come together, but with the pandemic, we found the opportunity to beautify these difficult days we are living by coming together again. The Mentor-A program offered me the chance to shape my perspective on my future profession as well as my approach to self-discovery. I hope that what I have learned through this program, which will continue to illuminate my path for a long time, will be beneficial. I would like to thank my dear friend who enabled me to be part of this program, and I am grateful to the wonderful people here, whom I am very pleased to know, for strengthening my belief that beautiful days await us all.Buket – It was a program based on volunteerism, created with a lot of effort. In sessions with successful trainers and guests in their field, we, the candidates for environmental engineering, were given the opportunity to learn more about the industry. I would like to thank Mr. Hakan again for his efforts in the program.Dilber Tekin – Istanbul Technical University – Mentor-A… I first heard about the project from Mr. Hakan at the zero waste symposium I attended. At that time, it was still uncertain which classes they would accept. My friends and I insisted a lot for them to include the 2nd-year students in the project. There was no definite "Okay, we will include them" at that time. Anyway, as time went by, I found myself looking up how to get to the office of Artemis Arıtım in the İkitelli campus before starting to study in the study room. The first day… If I were to describe the first day in one word, I would say "awareness." I believe I received the most valuable thing I needed to take away that day. "The respect for my profession and my responsibilities as an individual." Then the pandemic, which shook the entire world, also affected our country, and we entered an online process that many of us were not used to. Before Mentor-A continued online, I was wasting most of my time. I realized this when Mentor-A continued online. Even during the online process, they did their best. They did their best for us. In addition to the professional training provided, we also received a lot of training on our personal development. Moreover, during the pandemic, they were perhaps knowingly or unknowingly by our side and supported us. For this reason, I consider it a debt of gratitude to Hakan Maden and the Artemis Arıtım family. I really want my colleagues, especially my friends from the 1st and 2nd grades, to benefit from this project. Lastly, I’m glad for Mentor-A :))When I was accepted into the Mentor-A program, I was so happy that I didn't know what to do or who to share my happiness with. I called many friends, teachers, and family members to tell them about this training and share my joy, but when we attended the training in February, I realized that my happiness was nothing. Because there, I met many wonderful people; I met people who were eager to learn and teach. People who introduced us to the industry without any expectations, who aimed to take us much further in personal development, and who helped us improve in every aspect. At the end of that day, I told myself, "Yes, we can achieve great things." There were now people in front of me who thought like me, who understood how important this profession really is, and who loved their profession. Later, as we all know, the pandemic process began, and everyone was confused about what to do, and it seemed like our Mentor-A training was suspended. I can't express my feelings at that moment. It felt like one of the happiest moments of my life was taken away from me. Until Mr. Hakan texted to inform us that we would continue the training online. I had started to look forward to the training every day. During the pandemic, I was developing myself and learning many things. I collected many beautiful memories that I will never forget. I met very kind-hearted and idealistic people.Emine Nur Altay – Istanbul University – It was an event that made me feel lucky to have the opportunity to participate in the program. It was a program where I met different people with different ideals, learned where I should be in my profession, and what I needed to do for that purpose. The journey of a career continues...It was a program that taught me what I needed to do to become a good environmental engineer without giving up. I would like to extend my endless thanks to my fellow participants, trainers, and the Artemis Treatment family for their contributions to both my professional and personal development. Our exams and assignments made it a program that we followed diligently. In fact, I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said that on the days of the program, I felt more energetic just for this reason. It was very enjoyable to be together with people who shared our troubles, answered our questions at all times, and said we could reach them whenever we wanted. I hadn't thought that saying goodbye would upset me this much before reaching the end of the program. We made very beautiful friendships, and I am sure we will support each other in the future. I sincerely thank the Artemis family. The poet said, "Sometimes a person wants to hide and dry in the pages of books." I can say that the MENTOR A program was one of the best trainings I received in my educational life. It was so productive and enjoyable that I could record every moment and listen to it repeatedly. We successfully completed the process with all our trainers and guests, who guided our ideas and careers, teaching us daily how to be "both virtuous and successful engineers," and we became the first graduates. I am not the same person I was before the MENTOR-A program. I can only say I am glad, truly glad!I feel very lucky to have been selected for this development program. It was a comprehensive program that included professional knowledge, psychological knowledge, and career shaping. Even during the pandemic, education was not abandoned. I received amazing information in a wonderful and sincere environment filled with conversation. Now, thanks to the Mentor-A program, I am an environmental engineer who knows what I want and what I will do.I am a candidate for environmental engineering.Gizem Şermet – Düzce University – First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Hakan and the Artemis treatment team for giving us this opportunity. I believe I have received the most efficient and, in my opinion, the most valuable education that a candidate for environmental engineering can receive. It was a wonderful educational process where many people shared their professional experiences and knowledge with us through warm conversations. During this process, I gained a lot of knowledge and met many valuable people in line with my profession. This training has positively contributed a lot to the decisions I will make in my future professional life and will continue to do so. I am glad to have been part of such an education. Before taking this training, I was an indecisive and anxious person who did not know what to do, but now, with this beautiful education I have received, I will continue my path as a more confident candidate for environmental engineering who knows better what to do. I would like to thank everyone who contributed once again.Handan Mina Gümüş – Eskişehir Technical University – Our Mentor-A project, which we continued online, has ended; I will miss eagerly waiting for the training hours, but this is not a farewell. At the end of 17 days that were enjoyable and effective in their own way, I would like to express my endless thanks to the Artemis Treatment family, who worked hard, shared their experiences, trained us, and guided us; to my friends involved in the project for what we contributed to each other both personally and career-wise; and most importantly, to our project architect, Hakan MADEN, who was in constant communication with us and answered all our questions meticulously.Kübra Karabal – Yıldız Technical University – The 17-day training that started on February 12 and continued online due to the pandemic was a wonderful journey that helped us direct our personal development and careers and accompanied us during this time we spent at home. The basic training provided in different fields such as consulting, project, R&D, and business helped us gain insights into our working areas. The colleagues from different universities who transferred their knowledge and experiences to us...I would like to extend my endless gratitude to Mr. Hakan and the Artemis Arıtım family for bringing us together and providing us with this opportunity.M. Haluk ÇAM – Karabük University – Our development journey, which was illuminated by the valuable trainers and guests who participated, was conducted remotely due to the pandemic. On this journey, we gained useful, guiding, and inspiring experiences for our professional and personal development. I feel very lucky to be a part of the Mentor-A project, which brought us together from different universities. I thank everyone who contributed with their dedicated efforts during our development journey.Melis Türe – Istanbul University – Our program, which started face-to-face, continued online due to the pandemic. My 39 friends and I experienced a total of 17 days filled with learning and enjoyment. We came together for the same purpose and contributed to each other with different perspectives on our profession. Very valuable trainers and career consultants were guests in our program. Thank you very much for being with us in the first step of our career journey. It was an unforgettable development program, and I am grateful to everyone who contributed.Murat Çetindağ – Sakarya University – First of all, I would like to express my endless gratitude to the Artemis Arıtım family for bringing such a project to life and setting an example for many companies. Of course, none of us expected that this face-to-face journey would continue in an online environment. We owe a lot to this project, which continued during the pandemic period and illuminated us students during this difficult time. The knowledge we learned at school and what we added to ourselves is very valuable, but there comes a moment when we say, “Well, where will we use this in real life?” The Mentor-A journey answered this question for us and filled that gap. Both our trainers and career coaches were with us throughout this process with all their sincerity, patiently answering all our questions. I am grateful to each of them for what they have added to me and for touching my life.Thank you very much. I hope to be able to touch someone else's life one day.Öznur Kaçar – Balıkesir University – I feel very lucky and very happy to have been accepted into such a program. I'm glad our paths crossed with the Artemis Arıtım family. I met many beautiful and valuable friends. In this program, I understood that it is never too late to move forward, even if we think so. I thought so too and was about to lose hope. Thanks to this program, I confronted myself and understood the importance of my profession even better. I had many prejudices that were shattered. My personal awareness, self-confidence, and most importantly, my respect for my profession increased. It was a program that relieved my worries about my profession and those of my friends participating in the program. During this pandemic process, people's motivation and energy are declining. This program provided us with that energy and motivation outside of professional training. Even though we conducted it online, I would like to thank the Artemis Arıtım family and Hakan MADEN for what they have given us and for their efforts in our development during this process.Seren Yıldız – Istanbul Technical University – I was just as excited to finish this program as I was when I started it with great enthusiasm. I feel lucky to be one of the first graduates, but I also feel changed. This program, where we received not only professional but also personal training, guided me regarding the job I want to do in the future, where I see myself, and how I can develop further, and I felt a kind of butterfly effect throughout the program. If you are reading these comments before applying for the new term program, I can say you are very lucky because you will gain beautiful insights that you cannot even imagine.Sibel Ünal – Hello, I am Sibel Ünal. I am a student in the Environmental Health Department at Üsküdar University. Our paths crossed by chance with the Mentor-A Environmental Engineer Development Program. I was an intern at Artemis Arıtım. They are different from each other.Despite being environmental engineering candidates with dreams of becoming
, I knew that 40 candidates would come to Artemis Treatment and that seminars would be organized for them by Artemis Treatment, but I never thought I could participate in the seminar with them. When dear Mr. Hakan said, "Sibel, you can also join the seminar," I was very excited and very happy. As they say, my path was taking shape again, and this time it would be even more beautiful than before. I even started to stutter from excitement. I told you my path was taking shape again. Mr. Hakan's contribution was very significant; thank you very much. We were supposed to continue our remaining seminars in the office, but it would have been quite risky due to the pandemic that emerged if we had continued our seminars in the office. Dear Mr. Hakan found a solution for this as well and managed to gather us again. Even though we couldn't be side by side, we were able to establish a very warm and sincere bond during our seminars held over the internet. For exactly 17 days, we hosted different guests, and our guests hosted us at our homes. Each of our guests informed us about both professional and personal life. I told you I set out on a journey. The journey was very beautiful, very exciting, very informative, and most importantly, very productive. Moreover, I was very lucky. Here, I would like to thank all my Artemis Treatment family, all our guests, and of course, my indispensable environmental engineering candidate friends. See you again. May our path be open.Sümeeyye Nur ÖZEL – Balıkesir University – First of all, I would like to thank the managers of Artemis Treatment and then the architect of the project, Mr. Hakan. I was very excited when I was accepted into the program; I had some hesitations because it seemed distant to me. When I participated in the program, we were welcomed with smiles and warmth, and the interest and attention were very good. There was a team that worked for us without any expectations; it was a very sincere environment. I left very satisfied and was glad I came. I was eagerly waiting for the next program, but the pandemic process intervened, and I was saddened. During this process, my morale...I had started to feel bored, but Mr. Hakan's online continuation program brought my mood back. Every day, he rejuvenated us with a new program. He ensured that we went through this process in the most efficient way possible. Everyone at Artemis Arıtım mobilized, and I thank them all very much. I also thank my teammates; they prepared presentations, data, etc., during this period of our exams and assignments with great sacrifices. They contributed as much as they could with all their sincerity. I thank everyone individually. This is a project that environmental engineers must definitely participate in.Şule Tecirli – Yıldız Technical University – The Mentor-A program, which is entirely based on volunteerism, now holds an unforgettable place in my life. Thanks to many of our trainers and guests, I believe we, as environmental engineering candidates, have developed both professionally and personally. As an environmental engineering candidate, I can say that I decided on the path I will take in my future professional life thanks to the trainers of the Artemis Arıtım family. I thank everyone involved in the program for everything they have contributed. I am proud to be one of the first graduates of the Mentor-A program.Yeliz Cankara – Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University – When I applied to participate in the program, I honestly had no hope of being selected. I could only learn a few things about environmental engineering from classes and a couple of websites. Due to Covid-19, we switched to online education. To be honest, I did not expect it to be this good. Because I am an advocate of face-to-face education, even practical training. I learned a lot professionally in this program. The Artemis Arıtım team was helpful to us in many areas. Every lesson hour in our program was filled to the brim. Of course, not only in the professional field but also in career management, self-awareness, and opportunity evaluation, I can say it was very beneficial for me. Thank you for selecting me for this program. I am grateful to everyone who created this program and managed the process, providing us with education. I am thankful to the Artemis Arıtım team and everyone who contributed to the training together. If I were to mention my other friends whom we worked with, everyone is very positive. This positivity has influenced each other in positive ways. I think we have established many business networks. I would like to thank everyone, my friends in education, and those who contributed. Zelal Okçuoğlu – Istanbul Technical University – I believe it is a very beneficial project that cares about our career and personal development, aims to alleviate our concerns about the profession, and restores the confidence we lost in our profession. I am very happy to have been a part of it and to have completed it successfully.2nd Term Graduates' OpinionsAlime Taş – We went through a rich Mentor-Environmental Engineer Development Program lasting about 2 months. I would like to extend my endless thanks to everyone who contributed, especially Artemis Arıtım and Hakan MADEN, who shared their knowledge and experiences with us, leaving us with beautiful memories and friendships.Aydanur Çelikten – Sakarya University – I spent my productive and fulfilling 3 months with wonderful people, especially Mr. Hakan Maden. I want to express my endless thanks for everything.Ayşe Nur Demiral – Hacettepe University – When I first saw the program, I was filled with great excitement. Because I could find answers to the questions in my mind about my profession and have the opportunity to develop myself. Therefore, while waiting to be accepted, I wouldn't be lying if I said I couldn't contain my excitement. When the acceptance call came, I was so happy... When the program was created and the training started, I felt like I was exactly in the right place. Trainers from different fields, the student commissions formed, and the incentives to take action meant I was truly in a development program. I did my best to make the most of it. I got to know parts of my profession that I had never encountered before.I discovered my responsibilities and the areas I need to improve within myself. I received very clear answers to all my questions before participating in the program, and my clarified mind changed my approach to my profession and nurtured my hope for the future. I am no longer a candidate environmental engineer swayed by the wind, but a candidate who knows her profession well and is determined about the steps she will take. I would like to thank all the trainers and the Artemis family, especially Hakan Maden, for this change. I am so glad to have participated in this program and to have met wonderful people like you.Begüm Selen Altınkaya – Sakarya University – I completed the Environmental Engineer Development Program. While I am happy to have completed this training, I am also sad that it has ended. It has been a full 30 days. All our trainings, from our first training "Personal Goal Management" to our last training "Sales and Marketing Introduction," have added a lot to me. Each of our trainers and guests shared very valuable insights with us. I would like to thank all the Artemis Arıtım family, especially Hakan Maden.Beyza Dilara Kılıç – METU – I believe the program has added a lot to me. I would like to thank everyone who worked hard and supported us during this process. Buse ONAY – Namık Kemal University – The MentorA Environmental Engineer Development Program started online due to the pandemic. Our journey with the MentorA program lasted very efficiently for 30 days. In this journey that I started with excitement, our mentors and guests became profiles for us. While the MentorA program took my sectoral perspective related to my profession to a different dimension, it also contributed to my personal development. I feel very lucky to be one of the graduates of the 2nd term of MentorA. Additionally, thanks to the program, we formed sincere and beautiful friendships. I would like to extend my endless thanks to our consultant Hakan Maden, to our mentors who illuminated our path with their training, and to the Artemis Arıtım family.I am very happy to have participated in such a productive and effective program for my personal and professional development. I thank everyone who contributed. When I first saw the Mentor-A Environmental Engineer Development Program, I got very excited and said to myself, "I must definitely be part of this platform." Hearing that I was accepted with a phone call in the morning surprised me a lot, but I was sure of one thing: the foundations of my future would be laid on solid ground. I had joined a program that was packed into 30 days, consisting of various and useful topics. I found the person I wanted to be here, the Environmental Engineer me. I had thousands of question marks in my mind, and every day those questions decreased. They were replaced by knowledge. The guests were very sincere; they answered our questions without getting bored or tired and dedicated their time to us. I am very grateful. Now I know who to go to when I have any problems. I am very happy that you provided us with such an opportunity and included me as well. I now know the job I will do, the path I will take, and my route. I extend my endless thanks to Artemis Arıtım for being a lighthouse that illuminates our way.The program has added great value to us in terms of change and development related to our profession and ourselves. On the first day, I was going to participate in the program...I always maintained and even increased the excitement and motivation I felt when I learned. The trainers, mentors, and participants were all very sincere, warm-hearted, and open to sharing. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this program, everyone I met and shared with, and of course, Mr. Hakan, who took care of us at every stage of the program, and the Artemis family. The program was truly very productive and enjoyable; I express my gratitude to all the Artemis purification family, especially Mr. Hakan, for considering me worthy of this educational journey... I believe every environmental engineer should experience this. Thanks to the program, we gained new perspectives on where we can take our profession. We learned how to develop ourselves both professionally and personally. Being able to participate in and complete the program will honor me. I will never forget the efforts and teachings this training has given us, and I feel very lucky in this regard. My Mentor-A journey was much more than I imagined when I first saw it on social media. The program not only provided me with professional development and awareness but also an immeasurable amount of personal growth. I had started to lose my enthusiasm for environmental engineering, which I chose with great passion, due to the guidance received while studying. After crossing paths with Mentor-A, I can say that I embraced my profession wholeheartedly and eagerly look forward to starting my career as an environmental engineer. I thank Hakan Maden and the Artemis Purification family for bringing such a wonderful program to life, allowing us to discover our potential by including us.I was overjoyed when I learned that I was selected for the program. I arranged my entire schedule according to the Mentor-A training hours to not miss any education. Because every training was precious to me. Just as I started the first day with excitement, it was the same on the last day. I eagerly awaited each training and learned something from every session. With many questions in my mind at the beginning of this journey, everything became clear thanks to Mentor-A. Now I know how to progress on my career path. With this program, I became aware of many things in terms of both professional and personal development, and I learned time management very well. Most importantly, I became part of a wonderful family. The Mentor-A family... I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this program for shining a light on our future with such a beautiful program. Unforgettable beautiful days are behind us. Looking forward to seeing you on even more beautiful days, my Mentor-A family :))Emre ÇOBAN – Yıldız Technical University – The training I received from experts in various fields during the program brought me serious awareness and helped me understand myself. The valuable people from the industry taking the time to invest in us became a beacon for our future. As a student of environmental engineering at the very beginning of my journey, I feel very lucky to have participated in the Mentor-A program. I will take what I learned here as a reference point and continue on my path in my future life. Thanks to the entire Mentor-A team and Artemis Arıtım for taking the time and putting in the effort. We have become a big family. I’m glad you exist!Enes Yiğit – Ondokuz Mayıs University – Story is now the most important concept in today’s world. As people run towards their successes, it is these stories that empower them. Mentor-A has become one of my best stories on this path where I run towards my goals without stopping. Thank you for all your efforts for us. With love.Esra Karabacak – Eskişehir Technical University – It was a wonderful program; honestly, I never believed that such a sincere bond could be formed in an online program, but it was much more than I expected. Being part of this project was very enjoyable for me. I believe that when we gain experience with this vision in the future, we will not hesitate to share what we know and guide our colleagues studying environmental engineering. The target card, professional library, archive, experiences from the industry, and sincere conversations like older siblings were truly invaluable. In fact, we hope to meet face-to-face with our target group team after the pandemic. The friendship that arose from Mentor A... I sincerely thank you for taking the valuable time to engage with us.Fahri Şafak ÇINAR – Kastamonu University – First of all, I would like to thank Artemis Arıtım for giving us this opportunity for such a project and all the employees who contributed to the project. The Mentor-A program provided us with comprehensive training on how and where to start the job search process, what to pay attention to in interviews, the introduction of job departments, and especially the experiments in the laboratory. I wish all my friends participating in the program continuous success in the business world. Lastly, I want to give a special thanks to Mr. Hakan for taking time out of his busy schedule for us; he made our time enjoyable with personal training and funny conversations, and he played a significant role in our development by making many sacrifices.Gülişah Sanem Şen – Gebze Technical University – I am leaving with an incredible awareness and perspective. I am now more determined about my goals. I know what I will do. I know my resources. And friends, the best part is that I met very beautiful people. At the beginning of the program, there were people who told us that nothing can be good without being a good person... This was the first message they instilled in us. In the future, in the industry, such beautiful people will value us like this.Knowing that there are employers is very valuable... I'm glad you exist, I'm glad I met you... Wishing to do beautiful things together in the future.I would like to thank the entire Artemis Arıtım family, especially Mr. Hakan, for this opportunity. We had the chance to receive training from experts in different fields within the program. We gained many benefits in terms of both professional and personal development. Our training sessions were very enriching. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to our development in this program based on volunteerism.Perhaps this is the most productive training program I could participate in throughout my life, and it is very sad to come to the end of a program that made me happy at every moment and stayed in my mind during the times I couldn't attend. But everything has an end; I just want to say that there is no end to learning and teaching. With the motivation I gained from this program, I look forward to many more trainings. I would like to thank Mr. Hakan, whom I think it would be more beautiful to call our precious mentor, and the Artemis Arıtım Family. Thanks to this program, I gained a lot of knowledge about both personal development and environmental engineering fields. We had the opportunity to meet very valuable speakers. Thank you very much for the time you dedicated to us. It was a program that allowed me to take more solid steps during a period when I graduated and tried to set my goals for the future. I thank the entire Artemis family for making each day of my training more productive.I shared Mentor-A Group 1, and as I saw it, I started to follow the applications every week. On the day the applications opened, I excitedly entered the page to apply, and a video application was waiting for me. During the pandemic, I had many live connections and meetings, but the video application...it was something I had never experienced before. Explaining my dreams and goals by looking at myself excited me much more and questioning what I wanted regarding my goals was also very beneficial. Throughout the training, carefully prepared presentations every day and various mentors who are experts in their fields contributed a lot to us both professionally and socially. It taught us to seek solutions to questions that would change our perspective on life. It really falls short to describe this experience in words. Mentor-A is, in my opinion, a complete school. The opportunity to ask questions as we wish, sincerity, friendship, whatever you are looking for is there. I would like to thank Mr. Hakan and the Artemis Arıtım family for providing us with this opportunity a thousand times. I have become a part of this family and will continue to be. From now on, I will always be happy to be a part of this family.Ilkim ÖZTÜRK – Istanbul University – Cerrahpaşa – The Mentor-A project not only provided information transfer related to my personal and professional life but also helped me to better understand myself and my profession. I learned the purpose and duties of environmental engineers in this program.Irem Şifa Özbek – Dokuz Eylül University – Hello everyone, I carry a bittersweet joy inside me as a graduate of the 2nd group of Mentor-A :) I was very excited when I applied for the program. There was a pandemic, and I was going through unproductive, anxious times. I met this program and immediately decided to apply. I had to introduce myself through a video. I made dozens of attempts, preparing each video with great excitement. And just as...I said I was ready now. And the day the results would be announced came quickly. One afternoon, I received a call from Mr. Hakan saying that I had been selected for the program. I can't express my happiness. This was the first program that came up for Environmental Engineering, and I would be a part of it. I really sat down at the computer with pleasure every day. In these pandemic conditions, no circumstance distracted our career focus. We had enjoyable committee work. I made 80 friends who are environmental engineers from 26 different universities. I met valuable instructors. I had the opportunity to benefit from their knowledge and experience. I spent a very productive 30 days during such a period. It was a program that valued and added value to us. We met people who care about our profession and personal development and want to share their knowledge with us. The knowledge and experience shared with us by qualified trainers and our colleagues in the field are of great value both professionally and personally. I completed this program with increased awareness and motivation. I also feel very lucky to have met colleagues from all over Turkey and to be a part of the Mentor-A family.
Melike Y. – When I read the Mentor A program application form, I was very excited and thought I must definitely be a part of this process, and when I learned from Mr. Hakan's call that I was among 80 different candidates for environmental engineers, I felt like I was on top of the world! The contribution of the program to me was beyond what I had imagined. I participated in most of the trainings and improved the things I saw as lacking. Thanks to those who contributed.Melisa AYDIN – Hacettepe University – Before starting this program, I had very little knowledge about my profession aside from hearsay. I had the opportunity to learn from the Artemis family, which is an expert in the field and has a broad vision, about topics that we did not have the chance to learn at school, such as what the fields of environmental engineering are, what an environmental engineer does, what the business world is like, and what can be done. I truly feel very lucky to have participated in this program. I sincerely thank the Artemis family for all their efforts, as it allowed me to meet 79 other colleagues with whom I will share the same profession in Turkey and ensured that we carry the same values in our perspective on the profession. Thank you very much for your hard work. I am sure you will also receive the rewards for your efforts. Thank you all very, very much.Melisa Can – NKU – In the Mentor-A program, I received 30 different trainings that provided me with personal development alongside professional knowledge. Looking back at this two-month journey, I can say that this program broke some of my prejudices about environmental engineering and helped change my perspective both personally and professionally. I realized how important, valuable, and necessary an environmental engineer is. I would like to thank everyone, especially Hakan Maden, the Artemis treatment company, and our guest trainers and mentors in the program. I feel very lucky to have met you all.Mert Altuner – Marmara University – I am a preparatory class student. Although there was no preparatory option in the application form, I was included in this program, so I gained my first knowledge about environmental engineering on this platform, and since the first information is always special, it was a process I will never forget. After 2-3 months from my preference period, I found myself in Mentor-A. Everyone hesitates when making a choice; there are question marks in their minds, whether they choose medicine, law, or environmental engineering, and I believe I overcame these question marks in the shortest time possible. Until I graduate from the preparatory class, I will continue my education and professional life with the awareness of how I can advance environmental engineering. I am glad to have been a part of Mentor-A. I am glad to have met you. I thank you all with all my sincerity for everything.Merve Saka – Uludağ University – It was a wonderful and completely developmental program. I also thank you for the valuable people you have added to my life. I hope to meet again in beautiful places.. ?Rabia YILDIZ – Uludağ University – Although the Mentor-A program was the longest program I participated in during my education, it was an adventure that I attended with the same excitement and happiness every training day. I am very happy to have been part of this program. I had the opportunity to meet many different colleagues, which was a great experience for me before starting my professional life. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the trainers, guests, and mentors who contributed.Sena Bülbül – Yıldız Technical University – This is the program that I got very excited about after seeing its page on Instagram and receiving the acceptance information after applying. Being selected from over 400 applications made me very proud and sparked curiosity. It was surprising that this program, despite being held only once, received so much attention and applications. Today, as the program has ended, I feel a bit sad, but I also realized that the number of 400 applications for the program is still very low. Speaking of the program, it is not only an environmental engineering development program but also a part of the Artemis Arıtma family, joining this family. The program starts with Ms. Emel warmly welcoming us from day one, and you gain knowledge about all the topics an environmental engineer should know. First, we created goal cards. You will witness how practical your life becomes when goal cards enter your life. Then we learned about the K1, K2, K3, K4 boxes; when a problem arises in front of you, you start questioning whether it is important for me, whether I need to do it now, or whether it is unnecessary. I even hung these boxes on my desk, and every time I look at them, I will remember the Environmental Engineering Development Program. Many topics are being organized in training sessions, such as which computer programs and drawing programs an environmental engineer should know, how to establish a wastewater treatment plant, automation, eco-friendly steps to be taken at the workplace, and TÜBİTAK projects. Despite the pandemic conditions, experiments related to wastewater treatment were conducted in the laboratory with great dedication and presented to us. Additionally, this program allows you to decide which direction you should take in your professional life (such as sales engineer, project engineer, etc.). Through group work, you can establish strong friendships and have a lot of fun. I am amazed that I have 80 fellow environmental engineering candidates. The hero of this program is the very valuable Hakan Maden. This training was prepared with Mr. Hakan's dedication and effort. He dedicated a significant part of his day to us and worked hard for our development without expecting anything in return. Our duty from now on will be to remember Mr. Hakan's contributions at every step we take in our profession. After each training session, I would say I’m glad I participated. Now I say I’m REALLY glad I participated, and I recommend all environmental engineering candidates to join this program. Rest assured, you will not regret it.I learned about the Mentor-A project through social media. When I saw the program, I was very excited. Although there are many trainings and programs for each department, I had never seen such a program in the field of Environmental Engineering before. While examining the Mentor-A project in more detail on Mr. Hakan's blog, the comments from previous graduates added even more excitement, thus I completed my application process. Now, I am in a position where I say I’m glad I applied. I can say that the Mentor-A program has contributed a lot to me both personally and professionally. Especially, while I didn't know which field I should progress in, thanks to the information we gained during the training, I have found out which area I want to work in. Given the situation, I can say that its contribution to my personal development is tremendous.I would like to thank Mr. Hakan, who realized the Mentor-A program that illuminated my path, and the Artemis Arıtım family. I hope our paths cross again. If you are reading my writing and considering participating in the Mentor-A program, I say do not miss this opportunity. Thank you for reading.Simge Karadoğan – Istanbul Technical University – The inclusive culture and supportive professional environment of Mentor-A showed me that I can do much more than I thought; it demonstrated that I can utilize my maximum potential in challenging conditions. The mentors, guests, and management team, who will be pioneers of similar programs, made us feel that we are not alone. I recommend this program, which is a new source of hope for my future goals, to all my student friends.Suel Sumru Özal – Hacettepe University – Before starting this program, I had no idea what exactly I would be in my future life, in which field I could work, or which area I was more inclined towards. By the end of the program, I found answers to all my questions. I learned that a career is not just about theoretical knowledge but also about how one can develop themselves through shared experiences. Thanks to the Artemis family, I am now a confident environmental engineering candidate with goals. I would like to thank everyone who contributed.Süleyman Bozan – Istanbul University – When I applied for the program, I said I wanted to participate to better understand environmental engineering and to decide which field I should focus on. However, I definitely did not have the thought that I would be doing environmental engineering. During the program, looking at all the working areas of the profession from different perspectives significantly increased my awareness about the profession. Although I have not made a decision yet, if I decide to pursue environmental engineering, this program will have a great impact on making healthy choices.
Ş. Nihan Erdoğan – ITU – Thanks to the MentorA program, we had the opportunity to see different aspects of our profession. The shared experiences of seasoned individuals guided us. As an environmental engineering candidate, this program taught me that being an engineer is not enough; we must strive to be a good engineer. I believe that environmental engineers, who aim to protect our future and nature while allowing today's people to live humanely, will reach a better place in our country thanks to this training. I would like to thank Artemis Arıtım for providing us this opportunity and everyone who dedicated their time to educate us, especially Hakan Maden.
Uğur Kerem Özbey – Marmara University – I believe this was an excellent personal development program for all participants during the pandemic, where we gained valuable information related to our profession and the general functioning of the sector. I would like to thank all the educators, especially Hakan Maden, and the management of Artemis Arıtım for including me in this program.
Yağmur Karademir – Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University – As a new environmental engineering candidate, you have illuminated many topics for me. During this period when my energy was low, you became a source of motivation for me. I learned about departments in my field that I had no knowledge of. I met very different people. I made wonderful friendships. Most importantly, you gave me self-confidence. Thanks to you, I realized once again that I want to be the best in my department. I hope our paths cross somewhere. I would like to thank Mr. Hakan for his efforts and then all of Artemis Arıtım.
Yaren Coşkun – Yıldız Technical University – Alongside the academic knowledge I gained at school, I was able to gather practical information. It has been a program from which I have received infinite efficiency. Realizing how important experience and excitement are in my profession and graduating with this awareness was truly very, very valuable for me.Zahide ASLAN – Karabük University – The fact that someone, far away from us, aims to explain and teach the profession of "Environmental Engineer" (ensuring the understanding of the value of Environmental Engineers) and offers this to us completely voluntarily excited and made me very happy. What a great fortune it is that I participated in such a platform. Listening to the ideas, experiences, and advice of many experts in the field enabled me to take new steps in my career. It was a very high-quality education that answered the questions about how to chart a path that supports both my personal and professional development. Despite having a program that felt ready to always be there for us, lifting us up whenever we fell, the very valuable Mr. Hakan, who goes above and beyond, deserves my greatest thanks. Endless thanks to all Artemis Treatment staff and everyone who contributed. I’m glad you exist!Zeynep Orak – YTU – I consider it a debt of gratitude to thank all Artemis Treatment for a month full of development in every sense.
