Mechanical Preventive Maintenance and Inspections in Treatment Plants

Mechanical Preventive Maintenance and Controls in Treatment Plants Preventive periodic maintenance should be carried out by qualified personnel or authorized service. Routine checks should be conducted without interruption by the treatment plant operator. Unauthorized personnel should not intervene in the electrical panels. A weekly self-inspection should be performed, and preventive periodic maintenance should be conducted by qualified personnel or authorized service at least once every 6 months. Grounding measurements of the panel should be conducted and reported by authorized individuals or companies at least once a year, and grounding checks should be performed by authorized service once a month.
Preventive periodic maintenance should be carried out by qualified personnel or authorized service. Routine checks should be conducted without interruption by the wastewater treatment plant operator.Unauthorized personnel should not interfere with electrical panels. A self-examination should be conducted weekly, and preventive periodic maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel or authorized service at least once every 6 months. Grounding measurements of the panel should be reported by authorized individuals or companies at least once a year, and grounding checks should be conducted by authorized service once a month. There are various probes that measure wastewater in the process (e.g., pH, Rh, oxygen, turbidity meters, etc.). The lifespan of these probes varies depending on the concentration and properties of the chemicals present in the wastewater being treated during use. Probes should be cleaned as specified in the user manual before each treatment in batch treatment requests, and at least once a day according to the pollution level of the water in continuous systems. After cleaning the probe, it should be verified that it measures correctly; if there is a discrepancy, calibration should be renewed, and if the difference cannot be resolved through calibration, support should be sought from authorized service. For pneumatic equipment (pumps, valves, pistons, etc.) operating with air in the process to function properly, the oil level of the air conditioning equipment must be at the desired level, and the water in the water tank must be discharged daily. Care should be taken to ensure that the filter systems are clean and undamaged so that sharp cutting particles in the transferred product do not harm the process circuit components.Centrifugal pumps and submersible pumps used in the treatment plant should not be operated dry, and it should be ensured that the level measurement systems provide commands at the desired levels. Motor body groundings should be checked, pump operating sounds should be listened to, body temperatures should be monitored, and in abnormal situations, support should be sought from authorized service. The current values of pump motors should be measured monthly, and if there is any abnormal situation, maintenance should be sent to authorized service.must be done.

Before operating the Electromagnetic and Electromechanical Diaphragm Dosing Pumps present in the process, it must be ensured that their valves are open. If the valves are closed, these pumps can damage themselves. Periodically, the suction and discharge check valves should be removed and cleaned; care should be taken to check the direction when reattaching the check valves.

For the healthy operation of the blowers in the system, the discharge lines must be open, the filters clean, the diffusers and diffuser lines intact, and the water column must be below the blower label value limits. The daily operating sound of the blowers should be monitored, the pressure value should be checked, weekly filter cleanings should be performed, and monthly motor amperage values should be measured by qualified personnel or authorized service.

If an abnormal situation occurs during daily monitoring, support should be obtained from authorized service.

The maintenance of the filter press hydraulic system should be performed by authorized service, and hydraulic hoses should be renewed at certain intervals. The filter press fabrics should be washed every time the press is opened and renewed at certain intervals. Before closing and compressing the press, the condition of the plates should be checked, no foreign material should be found between the plates, and the plates should be closed in the center.

Daily visual inspections of the mixers should be conducted, and it should be ensured that the bolt nuts do not create gaps. The reducers and bearing housings should be periodically checked and lubricated according to usage frequency, and grease should be added from their grease fittings. The balance checks of the mixer shaft and arm should be performed, the motor temperature should be checked, and monthly motor current values should be measured by qualified personnel or service.

Process piping should be checked during operation and at weekly intervals; the check valves and filters on the line should be cleaned, the valve positions and functions on the line should be checked, and the general condition of the pipelines should be visually inspected. Broken, loose, or economically expired lines and insufficient supports should be renewed by calling technical personnel or service.

To ensure the effective and efficient operation of the facilities, preventive maintenance should be performed or carried out by authorized service.

It is important to be taken into account.
